OUR STORY

Halima Muslima is dedicated to the spiritual and emotional well-being of women and children and providing low-cost retreats and courses for Muslim ladies and children.

Halima Retreats first began in 2015 when a small group of ladies came to the blessed area of the Alpujarras, with permission of Sheikh Muhammad Hisham Kabbani to take part in the first retreat.

Since then, we have run over twenty retreats, both in Spain and in the UK, and more recently began to provide wellbeing courses and counselling.

In 2022, Halima Retreats changed its name to Halima Muslima Wellbeing and Retreats and is now a community interest company which is a not-for-profit organisation. All our profits go towards concessions and developing ways to serve our community.

The Halima Muslima team includes Yasmin Watson, an arts therapeutic counsellor, Hana Horack, holistic therapist who helps run the retreats and offers creative workshops, Raheema Chandler who offers holistic healing using sound bowls and Saffiya Collins who specialises in Mizan therapy as well as other wonderful sisters who help make the courses and retreats so special.

We look forward to welcoming you on one of the retreats or courses!
