How do the sessions help my child's emotions?

The sessions start by getting to know the child though various art-based activities, where they also assess themselves how they are feeling or what struggles they may be having with their emotions. We then focus on different parts of self, such as an angry part, an embarrassed part, a sad part etc and get to know these parts and try to help each part feel better by understanding and listening to them, using art as a way of expression. We also learn some regulation techniques and how to make better choices when strong emotions come up.

We also explore how turning to Allah and using our faith can provide the essential support for going through life's ups and downs and look at some of the challenges that the Prophet (pbuh) endured and his Sahabi.
