Healing the Heart Retreat
12th-14th February 2024
Taking place in Buckinghamshire, U.K., join us on our therapeutic three-day retreat in the beautiful spaces and grounds of St Katherine's Parmoor.
This retreat is aimed for those who have experienced trauma in their lives, either as adults or as children. With our team of qualified therapists, you can find healing and recovery through connecting to Allah through meditative group sessions, 1:1 therapy, trauma-informed yoga, and holistic massage.

Accommodation
Set in the stunning Buckinghamshire countryside, St. Katherine's is a dedicated retreat centre, mostly hosting prayer and meditation retreats. It is comfortable and homely with a fascinating history.
Simple but tasty meals are made at St. Katherines which are all halal.
Therapy
There are three group therapy sessions and a one to one personal integrative arts therapy session with our trained trauma counsellor.

Yoga
It is well established that trauma is stored in the body. This is why there will be an emphasis on body work and connection to help you feel at peace again within your own body.

The yoga workshops, run by trauma specialist, Cath Watsham, will be tailored to your specific needs with movements to help release trapped emotions.
About the Retreat
Spiritually reconnect
We do some group prayers, as well as Islamic healing meditation for inner peace and healing.

Activities
There is also a programme of connecting with nature, art activities, meditation and Tai Chi as well as enough personal time for rest and relaxation.

The Venue

The retreat takes place in the historic house of St. Katherine's Parmoor. This house has an interesting history and is owned by the Sue Ryder fellowship. It is a dedicated retreat centre for prayerful groups and has a wonderfully peaceful atmosphere.
It is set in beautiful grounds, ancient trees and it's own resident peacock!

WHAT SISTERS SAID ABOUT THE PAST RETREATS

You emerge a different person. Definitely worth every woman to experience at least once in their life. Brilliant at accomodating people experiencing any difficulty.

A spiritual retreat to connect with Allah and Rasulullah (s.a.w.) A must, as it helps with reconnecting with self and evaluating owns life/self. It healed wounds for me and brought me nearer an amazing group of sisters.

A perfect place to unravel thoughts and walkaway with new life tools, greater strength and a refined wider perspective
